Admission Requirements 2013/2014

Candidates who chose University of Lagos, UNILAG, for the 2013/2014 JAMB UTME should take note of the following:
     UTME Requirements (100 level)
  •  Minimum of Credit passes in Five (5) subjects including English Language at the SSCE, GCE O’Level and any other equivalent examinations at one sitting.
  •  UTME score of at least 200 for all Programmes.
  •  Candidates must have chosen UNILAG as their 1st choice to qualify to sit for the Post-UTME Screening Test.
  •  Final selection will be based on the candidate’s average scores from the UTME and Post-UTME screening Tests.
     Direct Entry (200 Level)
  • Minimum of credit passes in five (5) subjects including English Language at SSCE, GCE O’Level or equivalent qualification at one sitting.
  • Must possess an HND, OND or NCE in the relevant programme to be undertaken in UNILAG.
  • An acceptable score is prescribed for admission at the Direct Entry Screening Exercise.
  • Final selection is based on combination of candidate’s certificates and the direct entry screening result

How To Apply For KWASU 2014/15 Admission (IJMB)

The Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB) Examination Programme of the KWASU Centre for Advanced Basic Studies (CABS) is designed to prepare candidates for DIRECT ENTRY ADMISSION to 200 level of regular degree programmes.
The intent of the programme among others is to specifically provide space for candidates that could not gain admission into regular degree programmes in Nigerian University for one reason or the other.

Candidates seeking admission into KWASU Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB)Examination Programme must possess five (5) ordinary level credit passes in relevant subjects including English Language. For candidates pursuing courses in Sciences, Engineering, Social Sciences and Management Sciences, credit pass in Mathematics is compulsory from any of WASC, NECO, GCE or NABTEB obtained at not more than two sittings. However;
v Science and Engineering candidates with a minimum of pass grade in English Language will be considered for admission but that such candidates will take O’level IJMB English Language and possess a credit pass in any other subject to make up for the five credits ‘O’ level requirements.

v Similarly, Arts, Management and Social Sciences candidates with a minimum of pass grade in Mathematics will be considered for admission but that such candidates will take O’level IJMB Mathematics and possess a credit pass in any other subject to make up for the five credits ‘O’ level requirements.

CRITERIA FOR ADVANCEMENT TO 200 LEVEL For Candidates to be admitted to 200 level, they must:

  • Possess five credits in relevant subjects at O’level
  • Apply through the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) by obtaining the DIRECT ENTRY FORMS from the JOINT ADMISSIONS AND MATRICULATION BOARD (JAMB).
  • Pass the Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB) Examination. For more information Click here
